Personal Experience with Pickle Strong Glasses
I had high hopes for the Pickle Strong Baller glasses due to their promising features and the inspiring story behind them. As someone who takes eye protection seriously, I was eager to test them out on the court.
- The first thing I noticed was the weight of the glasses. They are heavier than other brands I have tested. This extra weight could be a sign of better protection, but it also has the potential to cause fatigue during extended play sessions. However, this did not deter me from giving them a fair shot.
- The Baller glasses come in vibrant colors and include five interchangeable lenses, allowing for versatility in different lighting conditions. This is a fantastic feature for those who play at various times of the day or in different environments.
- One minor issue I encountered was a slight visual impairment on the lower frame when playing at the Non-Volley Zone (NVZ). This wasn’t a deal-breaker but is worth noting for those who spend a lot of time at the net.
- On the aesthetic side, these glasses look incredibly cool. I received several compliments and was even told they resembled snowboarding goggles. Their stylish appearance makes them a hit both on and off the court.
- A significant advantage is that these glasses do not sit too close to my face. This design allows sweat to pass through without smudging the lenses, a common issue with other protective eyewear. However, they did fog up on particularly muggy days during intense games, which is something to be mindful of.
Despite a few minor drawbacks, I find myself reaching for the Pickle Strong Baller glasses even when I’m not playing pickleball. They offer a great balance of style and protection, making them a reliable choice for any pickleball player.

This program embodies the spirit of generosity and ensures that every player, regardless of economic hardship, has access to essential protective gear.
The “Giving for Goods” initiative is a response to the rapidly growing popularity of pickleball, recognizing the sport’s widespread appeal and the importance of safety for all participants. By donating Pickle Strong NAB products to local parks, underserved neighborhoods in the United States, and remote communities around the world, the initiative addresses a critical gap in protective equipment accessibility.
Cassidy Phillips and Scott Mannetta, the visionaries behind Pickle Strong, are committed to this mission. Their partnership symbolizes a united front against the challenges of obstinance and economic barriers, ensuring that no player is left unprotected. The initiative not only provides physical protection but also spreads awareness about the importance of wearing protective eyewear during play.

These glasses are awesome with regards to looks, fit and the number of lenses offered for different light conditions. The price is reasonnable. Bought two pairs for myself and my wife, from Hi Sports in Ontario, the only Canadian distributor, last january and have used them to play both inside and outside.
The only major problem are the prescription inserts. I wear corrective eyeglasses and so does my wife. The prescription inserts cost us more than the glasses ! The inserts are plastic and very fragile. Simply taking them off to change color lenses , has resulted in both of them braking in the middle. I have tried to buy replacements from Pickleball strong and Hi Sports, without success. They are not sold separately and both the home company and it’s distributor are not responsive to my mails.
So think about it twice if you buy these. They are great, but the inserts are not up to parr and there is no after sales service offered. I am presently looking for universal pickleball prescription inserts to be able to play with my Pickle Strong eyeglasses.
