Pickleball for Pups: Event Details

We are excited for our inaugural pickleball tournament fundraiser to support the Friends of the Animals at Stacks Pickleball located at Celtic Studios! Come join us for a day filled with excitement, camaraderie, and friendly competition along with food, drinks, and maybe even some furry friends! Lunch will be provided by local sponsors.

Supporting a Great Cause

All proceeds from Pickleball for Pups will help Friends of the Animals rescue, re-home, and save dogs in the Greater Baton Rouge area. Your participation not only promises a fun-filled day but also contributes to a noble cause.

Spectator Information

Spectators are welcome to join! Upon entry, spectators will be asked to name their price for entry. Be ready to win raffles, enjoy food and drinks, and watch some amazing matches.

Event Schedule and Format

Date: Saturday, June 15th

Player Divisions

• Men’s: 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, and 4.0+
• Women’s: 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, and 4.0+
• Mixed: 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, and 4.0+

Participants can select up to 2 events, one based on gender and another mixed event. Bracket divisions may be changed or combined depending on the number of entries.

Event Format

Pool play will be a round-robin format. The top 2 teams from each pool will then move into a single elimination playoff bracket.

• Pool play (Round robin): Playing for seeding into the playoff brackets.
• Playoffs: Round robin record will determine your seeding for the playoff brackets.

Registration Information

Entry Fee: $40

Each Event Fee: $12 per event

Registration Deadline: Closes at midnight on June 7th

**Exact times for each division will be posted the week of the tournament.

Prizes and Benefits

• 1st place will receive prizes created by the “Queen of Sparkles”.
• Every player will receive two free alcoholic beverages (must be 21+), lunch, water, and one free entry into raffles.

All scores will be logged into DUPR. Please make a DUPR account if you do not already have one. You will be prompted to input your DUPR ID upon sign up. You may come back later to input it.
