Pontiff Playground at American Pickleball Tour Tournament

The American Pickleball Tour Tournament in Biloxi, Mississippi, was held over the weekend of April 29th and 30th, and it was a weekend of high energy and great competition. The Mississippi Coast Coliseum & Convention Center hosted the event, and while there were a few electrical issues with the courts, the tournament was overall well-received by participants and spectators alike.

Louisiana Representing

Among the many talented athletes who participated in the tournament, the Pontiff Playground crew from Louisiana had an impressive showing, taking home multiple medals across various brackets. We would like to congratulate each of the Pontiff players who represented their community with such distinction.

Pontiff Medals

In the Ladies Doubles bracket, Denise Cazaubon and Madison Lopiparo brought home the bronze medal. Ralph Cazaubon and Patrick Melancon proved to be a formidable team in the Men’s Doubles 50+ bracket, earning the gold medal. In addition to his doubles success, Patrick Melancon also took home the gold medal in the Men’s Singles 50+ bracket.

Devrim Hayes and Anthony Parfait dominated in the Men’s Doubles 14-49 bracket, taking home the gold medal. Anthony Parfait also competed in the Men’s Singles 14-49 bracket, earning a silver medal for his impressive performance. Ian Helling, another Pontiff player, took home the bronze medal in the Men’s Singles 14-49 bracket.

American Pickleball Tour

All of the Pontiff Playground players who competed in the American Pickleball Tour Tournament should be incredibly proud of their performance. Their dedication to the sport and their hard work paid off, and we look forward to seeing more great things from them in future tournaments.
