YLC Pickleball Tournament 2025 – Event Overview
The YLC Pickleball Tournament 2025 brings doubles excitement to New Orleans. Players 21+ will compete, connect, and support a great mission at City Park Tennis Center.

The event raises funds for YLC projects and community initiatives. Expect organized pool play, a knockout finish, and a fun atmosphere. Additionally, your entry includes refreshments and a commemorative T-shirt.
Young Leadership Council Pickleball Tournament 2025 – Event Details
Date: Saturday, October 18, 2025, 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Location: City Park Tennis Center, New Orleans, LA
Entry Fee: $50 per player
Divisions: Two brackets with skill separation:
- Advanced/Intermediate/Competitive Bracket
- Intermediate/Beginner/Leisure Bracket
Proceeds support the Young Leadership Council’s programs.
YLC Pickleball Tournament Format
This is a non-sanctioned doubles event for players aged 21 and over.
- You do not need YLC membership to participate.
- Approximately twenty teams will enter each bracket.
- Pool play determines seeding for a single-elimination knockout round.
- Each team is guaranteed four matches during the day.
- All matches are played to 11 points, win by standard margin.
- Additionally, organizers will group teams by reported skill.
- Two color groups, Teal and Purple, help align competition levels.
We will consider group preference alongside reported ratings.
YLC Pickleball Tournament 2025 – Registration
Register online using the official YLC event page.
Please provide the following details at signup.
- Name and email address
- How you are registering
- T-shirt size
- Phone number for the day of event
- Skill level category
Three registration paths are available.
- 2-person team: Enter contact info, T-shirt sizes, and each player’s skill level.
- Individual with partner: List your partner’s name. Partner must register within seven days.
- Individual needing partner: Email to be paired with a similar rating.
Because spots are limited, early entries receive priority placement.
You must be 21 or older on event day.
Tournament Skill Level Brackets
Teams should select the category that best reflects current play.
DUPR ratings are not required for registration.
- Beginner: New to pickleball or learning basics. (DUPR < 3.0)
- Intermediate: Recreational play experience, not yet advanced. (DUPR 3.0–3.49)
- Advanced: Confident skills and higher competition. (DUPR 3.5+)
We will organize two groups, Teal and Purple, by skill distribution.
Preference for Teal or Purple will be considered with your rating.

- Start your day with snacks during morning check-in.
- Enjoy a light lunch between pool play and playoffs.

- YLC will provide match balls for all courts.
- Players should bring their own paddles for all matches.

Sponsorships are limited and must be finalized by September 30.
- Court Sponsor – $1,000: Includes two teams, courtside signage, T-shirt recognition, and social media recognition.
- T-shirt Sponsor – $500: Includes one team, plus T-shirt and social media recognition.
Additionally, sponsors support YLC’s mission across New Orleans.
