2nd Annual Gulf Coast Paddle Battle: Tournament Information

We are so excited to host the second annual Gulf Coast Paddle Battle! Last year, we had so many teams that we decided to separate the tournament into a two-day event. The Men’s and Women’s doubles tournament will be held on Saturday, starting at 8 a.m. The Mixed Doubles tournament will be held on Sunday, also with a start time of 8 a.m. OPEN divisions will have a cash prize, which will be determined by the number of teams signed up in your division.

Registration and Pricing

Price: $40.00 – $50.00 per player (must register and pay as a team)

Registration is $40 for all divisions except the Open Division, which is $50 per player. A discounted entry fee is available when you sign up for both days. All participants must enter their DUPR ID when registering. The software will require that you register yourself and your partner at the same time.

Event Schedule

Saturday, June 22: Men’s and Women’s doubles, starting at 8 a.m.

Sunday, June 23: Mixed Doubles, starting at 8 a.m.

Divisions and Brackets

We set age brackets for players 14 and older. The skill levels include 2.0, 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, and 4.0. Participants compete in set partner pool play followed by a single elimination bracket. We may combine brackets if necessary, but we will award medals to all original bracket winners. The 1st and 2nd place winners in the Open divisions will receive cash prizes.

Rules and Regulations

All participants must play with X-40 pickleballs. The minimum age to sign up is 14. Detailed instructions on finding your DUPR ID can be found in the registration video. Players must register with their partner simultaneously.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

If you must withdraw from the tournament, you are eligible to receive a refund for your registration fees up until 24 hours before your start time. In the case of a rainout, you will have the option to either move your registration to the rescheduled date or receive 50% of your registration fee to help cover the tournament costs.
