Luling Summer Smash Pickleball Tournament Event Details

Join us at the BRAND NEW pickleball courts for a day filled with thrilling matches and community spirit. Here are the details:

• Date: July 27, 2024
• Location: Luling West Bank Bridge Park, 13825 River Road, Luling, LA 70070, USA
• Entry Fee: $45 per player
• Divisions: Beginner (2.5-3.49), Intermediate (3.5-4.49), Advanced (Open 4.5+)

Tournament Format

The Luling Summer Smash Pickleball Tournament will feature an exciting format with Set Partner Pool Play followed by a Single Elimination Bracket. First, each division will begin with round robin play to 11 points, ensuring that all participants get ample playtime and fair competition. This initial phase will be crucial as it determines the seeds for the subsequent single elimination tournament. Furthermore, the intensity will ramp up in the single elimination rounds, where matches will be played to 15 points. Thus, players will need to bring their best game as they progress through each stage of this thrilling tournament format.

Luling Summer Smash Pickleball Tournament Registration

All players must register and pay as a team. To participate in the Luling Summer Smash Pickleball Tournament, players need to have a DUPR account, which can be created through the registration link. Don’t worry about selecting the wrong skill level; adjustments can be made prior to the tournament.

Event Highlights

Besides the competitive matches, we will have a pastalaya lunch available for pre-order or purchase at $10. All proceeds support the St. Charles Parish Rotary Club. Cool-down stations will be available around the courts to beat the summer heat.

Important Information

• All matches will be submitted to DUPR using the Swish App.
• We will be playing with Franklin X-40 Pickleballs.
• Players can contact the tournament director for assistance with finding partners or team formation.

Cancellation/Refund Policy

If rain washes out Saturday’s games, we will play on Sunday at the same location and schedule. However, if the entire weekend is a washout, we will attempt to secure an indoor alternative location to ensure the tournament can still take place. Additionally, please note that refunds will only be provided if we run out of pickleballs and pastalaya. Therefore, we are committed to making every effort to accommodate all participants and ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience despite any weather-related challenges.
