The 2024 Pickle in the Dell
Welcome to the 2024 Pickle in the Dell, a premier pickleball event. It’s hosted at Cross Gates Country Club in Slidell, LA, from March 22nd to 24th (This event has been rescheduled to May 17, 2024 – May 19, 2024) . This non-sanctioned round robin tournament features Men’s, Women’s, and Mixed Doubles. With a cap of 250 players, early registration is advised.
Event Details
The tournament takes place over a weekend. Saturday is for Men’s and Women’s Doubles. Sunday features Mixed Doubles. All games are held at Cross Gates Family Fitness, a facility boasting 16 courts.
Registration and Divisions
Participants can register in various skill levels from 2.5 and below up to 4.5+. Age brackets include 14+, 35+, 50+, and 65+. Players may opt for a lower age bracket but must compete at the higher skill level of the team.
Schedule and Format
Practice courts open on Friday, with matches starting early Saturday. Each division employs a round robin format, leading to a double elimination bracket for larger pools.
Additional Information
USAP rules govern the tournament, emphasizing fair play and sportsmanship. Parking is ample, and spectators are welcome with limited space for pop-up tents and portable chairs.
