Are you searching for an exciting and competitive pickleball tournament to participate in? Look no further than the Dinkin’ in the Delta Open! This tournament is scheduled to take place on April 29th and 30th, 2023, at the Twin Rivers Recreation Association Center, located at 503 W Barton Ave, Greenwood, Mississippi 38930. Registration for this prize money tournament is currently open and will close soon. The cost to participate in the tournament is $60.00. Players can compete in doubles and mixed doubles events with no additional fee if playing in two events, for levels 3.5 & Under and 4.0 and Above. The total prize money purse is $1,000, which will be split between the 4.0 and Above divisions. The winners of the 4.0 and above events will receive $330 per team for men’s doubles and women’s doubles, while the winners of the mixed doubles event will receive $340 per team. The tournament format is designed to ensure that everyone is guaranteed a minimum of three matches per event. For events with six or more teams, teams will be divided into two or more pools, and the top teams in each pool will advance to a playoff round to determine the winners. For events with five teams or fewer, players will go into one Round Robin. Skill levels for doubles and mixed doubles must be signed up at the skill level of the higher-rated partner. All players with a PickleballBrackets.com rating must use that rating. Players with a USAPA UTPR rating but no PickleballBrackets.com rating must use that rating. Players with neither rating may self-rate. These ratings will be verified by the club at the point of registration, and the tournament reserves the right to move players and teams between skill level brackets and events.

In addition to the Pickleball tournament, the famous Que on the Yazoo barbecue festival will also take place in Greenwood’s historic downtown during the same weekend, just a three-minute drive from the Pickleball tournament facility. Come down for a fun weekend of pickleball, a famous barbecue festival, and experience the Delta living at its finest! Snacks, water, and Gatorade will be provided for tournament participants, and spectators must sit in designated viewing areas. Feel free to bring your own chair.

Refund Policy:

A full refund for withdrawals from the tournament is available up until April 1st, 2023. There are no refunds after April 1st, 2023. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used to register for the tournament.

If a player is disqualified from the tournament due to violating the tournament rules or code of conduct, they will not be eligible for a refund. Additionally, if a player withdraws from the tournament after April 1st, 2023, they will not be eligible for a refund.

Please note that in the event of a tournament cancellation or postponement, players will be offered the choice of a full refund or a transfer of their registration fee to the rescheduled date. If a player chooses to transfer their registration fee to the rescheduled date and is unable to attend, they will not be eligible for a refund.
