2024 For the Love of the Y Event Details

• Date: September 13, 2024 – September 15, 2024

• Entry Fee: $60.00 per player (Late registration), with $10 per additional event
• Divisions: Men’s Singles, Women’s Singles, Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles, Mixed Doubles

Tournament Format

The tournament will follow a Round Robin format with matches either being played as 2 out of 3 games to 11 points or 1 game to 15 points, depending on the bracket size. Players are guaranteed at least three games per event. The divisions will be split based on skill levels, and teams must play at the skill level of the higher-rated player and the age of the younger player. Tournament directors reserve the right to combine or split brackets as necessary.

Registration

Registration for the tournament is open from July 4, 2024, 8:00 AM until September 8, 2024, 8:00 AM. Early registration costs $40 (plus additional events) until August 1, 2024, followed by normal registration at $50 (plus additional events) until August 23, 2024. Late registration is available at $60 (plus additional events) from August 23, 2024, until the registration deadline. Please ensure that both you and your partner are registered and fees are paid by the closing date. Players without a rating who wish to self-rate must contact the tournament directors for approval.

Event Highlights

Besides the competitive matches, participants will enjoy a range of additional activities during the event. Lunch will be provided on Saturday and Sunday, making it a great social event as well. The tournament will be held at the scenic Paula G Manship YMCA Lamar Tennis Center, with eight outdoor, non-covered pickleball hardcourt surfaces, using Franklin X-40 balls. Participants can look forward to a fun and friendly atmosphere, with plenty of opportunities to socialize and make new friends in the pickleball community.

• Cancellation/Refund Policy: No refunds will be issued for withdrawals after September 8, 2024. Withdrawals before this date will receive a refund of the registration fee minus a $10 fee. PB service fees are non-refundable. In the event of inclement weather resulting in the cancellation of events, no refunds will be offered.
